Montagu yesterday! Taking a day off. My left knee is troubling me. Home tomorrow. A little sad this trip was not what it was supposed to be. But life has its own way of working itself out. Will hopefully see the Cederberg next week for a week or two. Then to the real world.

I used to work in Wadeville - which was just the other side of Scaw metals . . . . Often used to grab a bite to eat at the Wimpy at the Engen Station next to the N3 ????

A golf course ( chip & put)  in the middle of nowhere . Always amazes me. And circus brunch with the wife .

Brilliant gravel ride this morning.

It’s grown into a little longer than chip and putt. Now 18 holes with a few par 4s.

That used to be our meeting point at 5:15 for weekday morning rides. Also an end-of-ride coffee stop (thank goodness other, better, coffee shops have started up since those days).

We've spoken about riding there, each carrying a different iron and putter, and then playing a round before riding back.
Still a pipe dream. Maybe this December it will happen.
