Went for the first ride in a few weeks, after having a bad throat infection, then cold allergy ;).

Buddies persuaded me to take them through our local mountains. 40km with 1250m elevation, there was a bit of climbing, so much that I took few pics. When we stopped I was too busy recovering to take out my camera.

Thats where I live, to the left of the highest point

Finished despite hitting a pothole, John Boscoe TT, was pleasant out despite the cold start to the day!

You can say that again, trashed that wheel luckily with about a K to go and the tyre stayed up and on! My best time ever round that course [emoji3]

Barzo looks to be a more aggressive tread pattern, so should offer a bit more grip than the Segauro (which is generally touted as an XC tyre or a tyre for the rear)

I'm super happy with the Segauro up front.

Our yearly urban ride which, among other interesting bits of Southern Suburbs, Liesbeeck River, Rondebosch Common, subways I never knew existed, Newlands, Bishops Court,  the old Zoo, Kirstenbosch and Rhodes memorial, also included UCT, Jamesons Steps and the perch where old Cycil John used to sit! We thought a statue of the fatty looked better!

He he Deanbean; 40km with 1250m of climbing "a bit of climbing". Sunds demanding, I'd be scared of a ride where you said "a lot of climbing".  Beautiful part of the world and long may it last.

Rode up to the antenna yesterday but not a good day for photos...top half of the mountain was in cloud...will have to do it again....LOL

This antenna is huge when you stand next to it, compared to the above photos taken from the other mountain (Wildspitz)

So... I went down to the Central Drakensberg last week, for SA Singlespeed Champs in Winterton.

I made an extended weekend of it and went down on Thursday already, here's the photo bombardment ^_^

Thursday:-

I just rode from our (pretty awesome)B&B into town and around.
