Stunning pics . That's some climbing you did .

Would spend this money all day long beofre the overpriced epic.

Awesome man ...enjoy

Thanks man.

Yup. Look make no mistake I respect people that do the epic but the pricing of the event makes it silly. Our 7 day trip to Italy cost 35k all in. Flights, Insurance, Airbnb etc. FOR 2 PEOPLE.

We chose Bassano because of the easy access from Venice and that the Giro went up the Grappa and past Valstagna up to Foza this year. I'd watched a Col Collective on the Grappa and Neville Cragg went there in Feb and he gave us a few tips. The grappa was SO SO SO tough. The last 10km was in the clouds so we had no visual clues as to where we were on the mountain. I also had to coax my Fiance up the hill coz she was getting gatvol towards the end. It's 27km of 6-8% uphill all the way. with 1 tiny 400m downhill about 12km from the top. But I now know that I'm capable of pretty much any significant climb. I won't take any KOMs but I'll get up the hill. coming down was also tough coz it was freezing cold.

The real riding wasn't on the Grappa tho. Riding up the valley next to the Brenta and riding up the mountain next door to the Grappa was AMAAAAAZING!!!

Lekker area and spent five weeks working there when I was younger and fitter.

I envy you Duane.

Tulbagh - Local Dirt Roads and the Farm MTB Loop.  Early morning pedal and wine tasting in the afternoon with the Missus.  Nice get away from the rat race.

Very pretty par of the world that.
