My wife gets the moerin with me because I insist that I can do it myself. I'm not an invalid and I have a very high pain threshold and don't like taking pills.[emoji23]

As I thought!!

Take the pills, the only thing tougher than a tough Eastern Cape farmer, is an Eastern Cape farmers' wife! You don't want to bump into one and end up with a concussion also !  ;)

We started off a lekker ride, riding the first 30km of GKT, beautiful ride to start off a "race", and my companions persuaded me to change the route.0d1e0b1401b84c552a7cdd6f64a37ddb.jpg0c155b855b36bf4c7a17d229438557b1.jpg660b847b226cb0441e8b63af89364430.jpg

Then once on the straight flat? gravel roads, I decided to take a pic of the Windvogelberg, a landmark of note, when I hit a patch of corrugations. Bike went one way(and it's okay if anyone is worried, but the Bigwig takes more than a flat road spill to damage it) and I went the other way.

My knee was a mess. Ended up in surgery to clean the knee joint.529a92c356f565e93bb73a90e8a7659f.jpg

Still figuring out how to do the share thing from Strava..

Pic taken near Prince Albert from our annual 480km charity ride. (This year a bit shortened due to the rain, cold and wind over the weekend in CT)

GOOD LORD!!!!!!!!!!!! That's more kms in 24 hours than some people do in an entire year.

Some of these distances you guys do really makes me feel very unmanly - I did 1 km more than you though (in the entire month of March)

Yissie!! Amazing. I think there's less than 10 people on here (I'm not one of them) that can even comprehend what you guys achieved. MUCH RESPECT!!

Tx Duane. In a way much more of a mental challenge than a fitness challenge (though your body takes shots - at the moment I can't sit on my saddle without excruciating pain so no commuting for at least a week). Was a massive adventure, some stories to tell the youngsters one day when I'm too old to cycle!
