THIS is a very nice extra to my pain cave -

Now my rides start at "room temperature", and I can warm up nicely.  THEN I use the remote to start the fan without having to get out of the saddle.

and as the Canondale is destined to stay INSIDE, the rear wheel had to be stored .... so I copied an idea from the Hub -

...

electronics ...    :cursing:

the remote for the fan WORKED for three months.  Tonight I am nicely into my ride, and I use the remote to switch on the fan ....

screen freezes for a second and the signals gets lost ... no more hart rate and no cadence (both via the Ant+) ....

Reset pc ....

have to repair devices ....

program is jerky ....

reset pc ....

Finally get it up and running again .... 30 seconds into the ride I deliberately use the remote again - dont want to freeze up after a couple of minutes.  JIP, screen freezes for a second, signals lost .... again the rebooting and re-pairing ....

packed away the remote, and the system worked perfectly for the full ride..  :whistling:

As long as you don't leave your house, I would guess...

you are allowed in your yard and people are saying 50m from your door. however this could be restricted to your yard as you are not allowed in the street without it being for the measures the president stipulated - no outdoor riding unless it is on your property - wonder if this is true if you have a farm or  similar...

I've had one family member call me asking where they can buy an IDT today, another asking whether I'll be using mine in the next 3 weeks.

You could name your price in the classifieds now!

Even my wife.... asked me if her mtb will fit on my IDT

Now that’s a sign of desperation

The way some people panic buy, if i auction my dumb trainer off to the highest bidder, I might get enough to buy a smart trainer. But then I am without a trainer, so I'll just continue using what has worked for me all these years. No need to Zwift, Trainerroad, Rouvy, etc.
