So after skipping out on the bicycle this past weekend I went out this morning with a colleague and a mate of his for a mtb roadie ride.

The mist during most of our ride was extremely cold and left us quite wet.bfdbac6d6911a4964c31a5322739b545.jpg36fb4bb80d401dd94667c631a2edd418.jpg9c282e6b2e4525e338d5df1c9a8aad34.jpgf83697f195cb2708ee9fd9d59d96330d.jpg

A hardman’s ride. And the tar is good for legspeed too. ????????????????

Took a minor deviation during what was supposed to be a roadie out and back....checked into Tokai office on the way back to enquire about the trails...still closed, no forecast for opening....then found my self on a bit of gravel...one thing led to another and I was in Lower Tokai forest, the last remaining stand of pines and canopy in the area...soft pine needles under wheel and great light....been a long time since I was there and turns out it links into the lower section of the Greenbelt trail so wahey.....bonus, great to have such a versatile bike!

Wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be. Lekker morning out with coffee and toasted ‘nana bread

Agreed. Looked much colder than it was. we recorded 3' C average for our ride with a min of 2 and max of 4 and some very light rain.

Why you stopping at "Meerkat" Beach?

Went for a lunchtime spin, mostly on green belts, a little cycle lane work along the beachfront .... while here we saw two very fit looking ladies running in the reserve area, we saw them later again and they showed us where to go to ride this section of trail ... little sandy, but nice and compact after the rains, twisty and tons of fun.

Not the best pics though.

The only thing I got off that fb page, is why was everyone's "virtual comrades" so much less distance than the actual Comrades marathon?
