Well it works the same as car thieves - everytime new tech comes out to protect or track your vehicle, thieves will find a way round it. Cyclits will do the same to stay in the game.

The banned list will eventually get so long that riders will only be allowed to drink water eventually

With the nanoscopic detection levels even that could be a problem 👺.

Apologies if covered but Ross Tucker, Science of Sport podcast gave an interesting assessment of the Sinner (tennis No. 1) doping evaluation and exoneration; a few months ago now. Plus he commented that Travis Tygart in the US was getting some flak as he was using athlete informants to get higher up the doping chain. Snag was that the USADA knew the athletes were racing doped and were allowed to keep their race positions, winnings and trophies.

Great Britain's Lisa Dobriskey right after her 1500m race at the 2012 Olympics in London: “I’ll probably get into trouble for saying this, but I don’t believe I’m competing on a level playing field.”

She was right, 5 of the 12 finishers in the final have been disqualified for doping offences.

Tygart was the one who made his name going after Pharmstrong. I said at the time he was in it more for making a name for himself and well history has shown this to be true. USADA have been selective who they prosecute. That gets lost in that they actually catch dopers but they are playing god in a way

I keep hearing about that carbon monoxyde thing, but aside what we know for sure (the test to assess the adaptations from altitude), it's seems like a whole lot of hearsay.

What I find weird is according to these people : breathing some super toxic product produces adaptations that makes you stronger.

So why would drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes not make you faster as well 🤣 (It would sure make me more fun at parties)

Because its CO in low concentrations, other wise you could just as well sit in a running car with the garage door tightly sealed....That doesn't work out well for those who try.
