I got fed up with it long ago and now this stupid BS brag post about 50 fixes this year sticked to the top of my feed.

Only reason I still use it is its how my maintenance tracker tracks my millage, they don't integrate with garmin yet.

So happens I use Strava purely to keep track of my total distance (pretty sure there must be better software\apps for this ...)

MTB is on the Garmin, for service purposes.

IDT only on Strava (never bothered to try and find it on Wahoo\Zwift)

Commuter on the Polar.

But all set to private, always been like that.

Slept in, yesterday morning, so missed my early morning run - only to be woken by a series of "we have to consider short time at work" Whatsapp messages. I was also the only one present at a scheduled 10:00 Teams meeting (for work I completed at 22:00 the night before).

To vent my frustration, I did the Alpe de Zwift in the afternoon - felt good after the 1:45 ride, even though it was indoors. Was thinking, "I could easily do this 8 times... everesting".

Saw a bunch of youngsters heading to the beach for a pre dawn sneaky surf yesterday morning, I briefly considered reporting them but realised I was outside my POT

Let them surf man. Jeez!

On Sunday the brave police were stopping housewives from walking their dogs on the beach here and at the same time an elderly couple was being mugged not 300m from the beach.

I like how Trevor Manual put it - there is no rational reason for any of the regulations relating to the exercise window, and in fact, it potentially creates the very problem it is trying to solve by clustering everyone together.

So as far as I am concerned, to hell with it.  They can take their 5km radium and stick it where the sun don't shine, and I salute all the other riders who are clearly doing the same.  For the "citizens" who are now going to have righteous indignation, go for it, I'll read the crying when I am back from my ride.  This whole lockdown is an epic fail.

I am also considering to go for a ride this afternoon. My business is not allowed to operate so I am stuck at home with my 6 year old. My wife is at work. I can not go for a ride and leave my boy alone and when my wife comes home I am not allowed to ride. This rules really sucks.

I went to a friend for a braai last night. Felt very liberating after 2 months of house arrest.

Beers?

Did you sleep over? My concern is if a cop decides to pull you over at 10pm there's no plausible explanation for you to be on the road.

See, that's not the same thing at all as the exercise thing, and you are in fact potentially spreading the virus. You shouldn't be doing that.

Had some wine. He lives pretty close by and I was back on foot by 8pm.

I know. I was told that over on the coronavirus thread.  But after 2 months I thought 'what the hell'.  I would say chances we spread the virus last night were vanishingly small.  Pick n Pay far more dangerous.

The problem is that you pick up the virus at the PnP, spread it to your friend who gives it to his aged mother who then dies.

Really, it's not that difficult to separate what is hype and what this disease can actually do.

For most of us it's an inconsequential inconvenience - it does however kill those we love and care about.

Social distancing and mask wearing along with basic hygiene are really not that difficult to get your head around.
