Had a nice morning at Bloemendal.

By 7:00 we were heading out to B Spot.  Then up the hill and down Home Run.

Back at the start Maritz started having fun at B Fever, with some seriously dark clouds overhead .... next moment it started RAINING.  But it hardly lasted a minute ....

Maritz has been talking about "jumping" for some time .... and today he had it in his head to lift the front wheel over the small jumps at B Fever.  I stood back and gave him some space - though my every instinct was to stop him ....  He would go to the top of the ramp, take a moment, then head down and try his best to lift the front wheel ... each time with differing degrees of success .... but he kept at it !!

I walked over and helped him to get the gearing right ... it was not long ...

LSD ( I was hallucinating by the end of the ride) today out to magalies and back. Lots of gravel miles, all in, an enjoyable ride.

Nice one! Care to share your route?

Respect, how hot was it not out on the bike in Gauteng today. When the grease in your head tube starts to melt and run down your fork then you know it's hot

Yep, it was a scorcher

RnR was that on the single speed?

Yes it was. There was a loooong stretch of pretty much straight and flat dirt that had me spinning at a steady pace, while watching the geared riders disapear into the distance.

But I knew what I was in for...
