DJR Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I took Ds old Le Jeune commuter for a spin up to Rhodes Mem to try and diagnose a slipping chain on the big cog and got some heat training for free. TyronLab Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 On my first big solo ride. While it may seem paltry to the double century 40kph racing snakes, to me it feels like I've climbed a mountain. Having bought my first bike as an adult in mid July with literally zero exercise in the last 4 years, to exceeding my goal for the ride by 12km and 3kph average was monumental. We may not have picturesque mountains, but there's some beauty to be found in JHB if you look for it. Think I'm nearing readiness for my goal of a sub-5 94.7. Tried to take it across to the Granite but it was not to be. Tore my shorts and kneepad on an old metal fence post. SO lucky to get away with a few grazes and bruises.
