Anyone using the Ciovita masks? Keen to hear how they perform.

Lekker masks, but as exercise goes Anatomic is much more breathable. The Ciovota ones are well made and have a filter, so I use them when out and about - they just feel a bit more protective (completely anecdotal) - but I don't see how anyone would be able to exercise in them.

I assume no word on the 5km radius thing yet?

And the Level 3 lockdown is from 1 June? So at least for the next week we are still on that 3 hour window?

I would love to go out thew 5km radius, but the timeframe is worse than the area where I can ride. So, lifting the 6-9am would be heaven.

Ran my 3rd fastest 10k ever yesterday morning, with my Anatomic mask on.

Would not be able to do that in a buff. #waterboarding

I know some people have definite health issues with exercising with a mask on. But for the majority of us I would think you should be OK, you just need the right material combo. Counterintuitively, the thin buffs are the worst.

Wait for final instructions from NDZ - She will no doubt give further contradicting instructions

Nah I reckon she got what she wanted with the continuing restriction on tobacco sales.. there would've been a lot of wheeling and dealing..I think me as a smokers sacrificed a lot so that the okes can go walk abouts throughout the day and nights..and drink at home[emoji6]

I’m going to have to ride my bike far, my wife is a smoker and this is a cruel punishment that penalizes the economy, punishes the poor, encourages crime and endangers people already engaged in a bad habit - I wish my wife would quit and f&ck knows what’s in these dodgy ciggies she’s smoking. I wonder what’s really driving this ciggie ban

There are literally only 2 people on my Strava timeline that have kept religiously to the 5km radius. Kudos to them. I tried to at least keep close to 5km's until this weekend, this weekend's rides are set on Private.

I only went around 500m outside my radius. I stay at the edge of town, enough veld for lekker rides.

I am ! not great, I managed a good ride on saturday with it, but the second you push at high intensity for a while, you just choke, just like with the buff... and it's a bit of a bitch to pull down to drink or something.
