Last run, and I must say its quite a weird vibe out there. Runners, cyclists, walkers, the whole lot are being uncharacteristically friendly with a hint of condolence in their eyes.

Its a nice feeling that we're all banding together. Or a nice thought at least.

Maybe this will unite us better than Siya did?

Funnily enough, when my wife got back she said she got a little teary out there. She reckoned it was like people were walking themselves to their last supper. When last did you see a full family walking down a road together (or even doing anything together!). Solidarity is often difficult to witness.

My property overlooks Beyers Naude out in the Cradle in JHB. Had a coffee and in that time I saw 3 cars with 1 being a security car. V quiet.

And no cyclists seen!

Maybe I'll have a look at 0500 tomorrow for tail-lights!

QUESTION: Will I be able to walk my dog?

No. Police Minister Bheki Cele has said no dogs may be walked. The security cluster has decided it will not enhance the president's call, and you can only walk your dogs at home.

Update: Dog walking in a complex? Yes, dogs can be walked in a complex but don't walk as a group. Still practice social distancing, Police Minister Bheki Cele has said in an interview with SABC on 26 March.

Oh to live in somewhere like Waterfall Estate now then. You have a million square km's to run your pooch around. f***ers

(Comic sans only because you should stay inside, and this is a stupid rule change, and deep down I'm jealous)

Not everyone has heeded the president's call to stay off the streets. While public spaces were deserted for the most part on day one of the 21-day nationwide lockdown, two joggers from Pretoria still opted to go for their morning run.

Fk this. In the UK under lockdown you may exercise outdoors once a day using common sense and a sense of responsibility.

People need an outlet and exercise is good mentally and physically. Please don't come with the BS that I'll be passing on a virus if I am allowed to exercise.

No lock down is complete. Emergency workers are out there. And plenty more. Financial services people. Supermarkets. Pharmacy. Doctor. Security. The list goes on.

We are allowed to go to the supermarket and stand in a queue 2m from a potential virus carrier. Certain may go queue for their tax payer funded grants. Etc.

This is Draconian.. are you missing that.. can't smoke.. can't drink.. can't walk outside where I live.. like a prisoner...

Cele is an acknowledgement authoritarian who wants not only to disarm us in the country with one of the worlds highest crime rates, now on this vital matter of a deathly virus he flip flops. We can walk dogs. We can't walk dogs. He treats this like a joke.

I firmly believe we should be allowed once a day to exercise outdoors. Alone. Just to get out. Please don't tell me I'll fall crash and need hospital. Driving to the supermarket I can have a car accident and need hospital.

Okay I have had my say.
