floatfox Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 In fact, should shopping malls not then be limted to 50 people only..if you have people spread accros a 33km area, surely you cannot compare that to having thousands in a closed mall. Brakepad, 428 others, NC_lurker and 9 others 12
Rocket-Boy Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Such bullish!t - targeting trails while people are getting bike jackedSoft target policing is now the normNail on the head, soft target policing is so easy to do.The cops get to go on their little power trip and refuse to listen to reason. mazambaan 1
Jewbacca Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I was at Jonkers yesterday....  Groups of 10 to 15 guys consistently coming and going on bikes and on foot. While it comes across as a nonsense rule, groups of 4 or less is definitely not being adhered to anywhere. So, while it is a soft target, it is something they can police so will do so. Whether it is what they should be policing is another question. It really wouldn't surprise me if more trail centres aren't shut down while large groups are coming and going willy nilly slickjay007, bobby and DJR 3

Although we as cyclists ourselves live to castigate them at every opportunity, that's the impression I get anyway. Hairy and gogo@ 2

Yet in the back of my mind I am acutely aware of the slowly boiling frog anology. Edited July 19, 2020 by vanniri PhilipV and ChrisF 2

Riamich Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Utter BS this country is F$&@up rules only apply to people who don’t break them. Taxi filled to capacity, casinos open, but visiting your own family is a crime. Spread out on trails of over 30km FFS is that not better than 15people confined to a taxi. Yea try explaining to the POPO is a useless case. Have seen friends and families lost everything they built up for 20yrs in just 4months. Renier82, Milkman, scubes and 1 other 4
King_Crispy Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 And how many hundreds were at Zindzi Mandela's funeral?Where were the SAPS then?Cele said there would be a police presence and if there were more than 50 people present they would be arrested. scubes Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I wrote a long post then deleted it. Its just BS & dbl stds- typical anc thruggery. Rode today at Cradle Moon- lekker , tuffer than expected- nice variety butway too often the walker and mtb trails were one and same even single track tech sections- why oh why do this- just an accident waiting to happenÂ
DR ◣◢ Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 What if.... just maybe.... one of the lawyers that frequent the venue actually step up and take on their case pro bono to help them fight this.  Now is the time to stand together as humans against unfair prosecution. Vetplant, Pieter1 and MBMtbGirl 3
